Frequently Asked Questions

> Can I pay the course fee by instalment?

Your fee structure depends on your funding type. But otherwise WFTD has various payment options for your convenience.

Click here to enquire or call us on 07 3217 3891 to discuss about your options.

> Do I have to pay at the same time I register online?

No. You will pay according to the payment plan and dates agreed on the payment acknowledgement form. Usually, there is a non-refundable admin fee that has to be paid right after the enrolment.

The process will be different in case of any Government funding involved.

Contact us for detailed discussion on the payment options.

> How do I apply for a course?

You can apply for a course by clicking on the ‘Enrol Now’ button in the menu or on the course page. This would open up an online enrolment form that has to filled and submitted by you. Once enrolled, an invoice for the enrolment will be sent to you. You will be attached to the required course as soon as the enrolment/admin fee has been paid.

You can also call us on 07 3217 3891 or email us at admin@wftd.edu.au to enquire about a course.

> How do I complete the course?

It’s quite easy actually. If you have the computer skills required to login to Facebook and browse the internet, you should have no trouble using our learning system.

You simply login to our learning portal to access all the learning material and assessments.

All assessments are completed inside the learning portal, or as a file upload into the portal e.g. Word document for reports & essays.

> Do I need to purchase any additional study material?

No. All the learning content is provided inside the learning system.

Most of the online learning material is also printable, should you prefer to study that way.

> Do I need special software to do the course?

Not really. The learning portal will be accessible using any up-to-date web browser, such as Google Chrome or Safari.

In order to complete assignments, you will need basic word processing software. If you don’t have a program such as Microsoft Word, you can use the free alternative Open Office.

> What if I change my mind about the course?

All new enrolments get a 5-day cooling-off period. This enables you to evaluate the course without incurring the total course fee.

If you decide you would prefer a different course, you can transfer to a new course without penalty during this cooling-off period.

If within that period, you decide to discontinue the enrolment with us, the course fees will be returned minus the non refundable enrolment/admin fee.

> What kind of help can I get during the study?

We offer ample support to all students. Your primary point of contact will be your tutor. You’ll be introduced to your tutor upon enrolment.

During times when your tutor is unavailable, we also provide a Live Chat service. This service lets you ask questions of a pool of industry experts and get an immediate online response.

Should you have issues which fall outside the areas of your tutor’s expertise, you can contact our Student Administration/Support team.

They can help with things such as technical issues, enrolments and payment issues.

> How long does the course take to complete?

All our courses are self-paced. This means they can be completed as quickly or as slowly as you like.

The only limitation you have is the course access period – this is the default amount of time you are given to access and complete the course. We are generous with this period, and estimate it well above the average completion time.

If you do require more time in excess of the default access period, extensions are available (monthly fees may apply).
